Caudill Forestry Services (CFS) was founded in 2020 as an extension of Caudill Trucking LLC. Owner Cody Caudill started Caudill Trucking in 2015 in Billings, MT, after purchasing his first log truck. Over the years, he hauled across Montana to numerous mills, working with multiple logging operations. Caudill Trucking remains in full operation, providing log, grain, gravel, and dirt hauling services.

Before launching his businesses, Cody served six years in the United States Army, worked several years in the oil field, and gained over a decade of experience in the logging industry. His time in logging highlighted the critical importance of land maintenance—not just to preserve Montana’s forests for the future, but also to protect homes and livelihoods.

With that mission in mind, CFS was created to specialize in fuel mitigation and mastication work. We handle both large and small projects, clearing brush, undergrowth, and small trees to reduce wildfire fuel sources. Thinning and spacing trees not only slows potential fire spread but also leaves the land clean, safe, and visually appealing. We also have a dozer and excavator for trail building and dirt work, allowing us to offer even more land management solutions.

Since its early days of hauling logs, Caudill Trucking has steadily grown, adding a side dump trailer for gravel and dirt, a grain trailer, and an additional dump truck to meet customer needs efficiently and reliably.
